My perfect sister with the beautiful intelligent kids and a husband with a doctorate to his name is not happy with the appointment of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger to papacy. I am ecstatic. CNN is not. No doubt His Holiness the Pope BENEDICTVM XVI is a staunch traditionalist, a champion for everything that is catholic. I dont doubt his leadership – in a world so blinded by bling-blings, capitalism has blurred our vision & pushed our generation ASTRO to wear make-up at the age of 3 prancing around the living room in breastless bikini-tops like a CanCan dancer miniature –

we catholics need someone to stay rigid –

perhaps so conflict of interests arises and more dirt could be conjured up for the media to be able to have a monday cover story.

I like Ratzinger. I believe the catholic faithful needs him. Yes yes, i’ve read what he stands for – even for people like us. But so what? SO WHAT? If the world exist on some kind of a same-ness plane, everything so mundane. So God Bless the Man who by his chosen name – is a benedictine – what can i say? but
